I find that verse in Ephesians 2 really encouraging where it says that we are God's workmanship created for good works which He has prepared. So, yes, each of us are unique, with a God-given purpose. Step 3 is so important each & every day. "Take my will AND my life, show me how to live". It is simplified so that those coming into any 12 step program can pray to the "God of their understanding". So many people either had no church experience growing up or had one that instilled fear. I feel so lucky to be able to embrace all that God has to offer! Our stupid self-will has to get in the way. I think it is somehow it's so we learn we HAVE to turn that will over. When we do, our lives shine for Him. And that's what fills my heart. Giving back what was so freely given to & for me.
